The survey aims to understand the population\u2019s perceptions of safety and their experiences of victimisation during 2018.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7254 alignright\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/opinometre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/victimitzacio-300x200.jpeg\" width=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/opinometre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/victimitzacio-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/opinometre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/victimitzacio-450x301.jpeg 450w, https:\/\/opinometre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/victimitzacio.jpeg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The survey was carried out in two phases: one covering 36 municipalities in the <strong>Barcelona Metropolitan Area<\/strong>, commissioned by IERMB (EVAMB 2019), and another in the city of Barcelona, commissioned by <strong>Barcelona City Council<\/strong> (EVB 2019):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the <strong>Barcelona Metropolitan Area<\/strong>, CATI methodology (computer-assisted telephone interviewing) was used to conduct 3,617 surveys among randomly selected residents aged over 18, who had previously received an invitation letter. Fieldwork took place during April and May.<\/li>\n<li>In <strong>Barcelona<\/strong>, a multichannel strategy was used: CAWI (online surveys with telephone support) for people under 65 and CATI (telephone interviews) for those over 64. All had been invited by letter.
