The aim of this study is to describe the sociodemographic profile of Barcelona’s residents, the households they form and the homes in which they live.
It also seeks to collect basic information about the buildings containing these homes.
The work is divided into two phases. In the first, a supplied list of 12,000 addresses is used to describe each building through direct, on-site observation, recording the number of premises, stairwells, dwellings and offices, among other features. A dwelling is randomly selected using a random number table, and a letter inviting its residents to participate in the study is delivered.
The second phase consists of collecting information about the selected dwellings and the households and people living in them through multiple channels: CAWI, CATI or CAPI.
