Global Entrepreneurship Monitor
With more than 27,000 surveys in 2019 among Spain’s population aged 18–64, Institut Opinòmetre is the provider contributing the largest volume of fieldwork internationally to the GEM entrepreneurship observatory.
The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) is the world’s most ambitious and comprehensive international entrepreneurship observatory.
Designed to estimate entrepreneurial activity and its main characteristics among the populations of participating countries, the observatory’s findings are based on estimates from representative samples of the target populations.
Spain has participated in this international project since 2000. Institut Opinòmetre is the fieldwork provider in Spain, serving all regional teams and other researchers studying entrepreneurship.
The GEM Spain network currently comprises researchers from 19 universities across the country.
